Vamp influencers partner with Dress for Success for International Women’s Day

The pro-bono #EmpowerHour influencer campaign with Dress for Success hopes to help disadvantaged women re-enter the workforce.

Ever walked into an important job interview and wished you felt more prepared? Sometimes it’s something as simple as a professional outfit that can make you feel confident. Or the assurance that you’ve been expertly mentored and know that you’ve got an answer to even the trickiest question up your tailored sleeve.

Arming disadvantaged Australian women with these skills is the work of Dress for Success. To mark International Women’s Day, influencer marketing platform Vamp have partnered with them to for their #EmpowerHour campaign. All month influencers have been encouraging their followers to donate just one hour’s pay. The funds will go towards up-skilling women in need through mentoring, resume workshops and interview coaching.

“The aim is to empower women and help them achieve economic independence” says Dress for Success CEO Ursula McGeown. We do this by providing a network of support that helps build their confidence and help them thrive in the work place.”

Whether a women is homeless or is struggling to find work after illness, our service provides them with the practical skills needed to get back on their feet. Just one hour’s pay can make a real and lasting difference.”

Last year the same campaign gave Dress for Success enough funds to support 142 women achieve financial independence. They hope to more than triple that number this year.
